Nokia X6

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

The Nokia X6 16GB is the latest offering from the mobile phone manufacturing giant. The device is slated to release by the first quarter of 2010 and this time it comes without music. Unlike Nokia X6 that is available in the market with a tag of “Comes with music”, Nokia X6 16GB  does not feature extraordinary music features. As the name suggests, Nokia X6 16GB includes a 16 GB memory in place of 32 GB memory that is available with the older model by the similar name. So, it has less 16 GB memory and also low price compared to its predecessor. Therefore, this handset makes a good choice for the mobile phone users that want to invest in a feature-rich mobile phone with affordable price. (more…)

HTC Google Nexus One

Monday, August 9th, 2010

All droids are equal but some droids are more equal than others. Google it. You’ll get the Nexus One. There are around 50 smartphones and tablets running Android today. That’s right, out of all the offspring they fathered with the Open Handset Alliance, Google finally have one to proudly call their own. What does it mean? Well, not that the ones we’ve seen so far are some poor half-blood droids but the Nexus One is supposed to be THE thing. For one, it’s the first Snapdragon-powered Android and it shows. The Nexus One is wickedly fast. The WVGA touchscreen is a treat to look at and it’s only the second AMOLED display to find on an Android handset. D1 video is sure to sweeten the deal too, and perhaps so will the Live Wallpapers. (more…)

Motorola Devour

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

When the Motorola Droid launched on Verizon Wireless last fall, it made a big splash—among a certain kind of customer, at least. Marketed heavily toward men, the fast, sturdily built phone was a hit among guys and early adopters, but its hefty shape was a turnoff to some shoppers. While not explicitly aimed at women, the Devour ($149 after mail-in rebate; $99 through Best Buy) offers a sleeker aluminum design along with a more comfortable slide-out keyboard. It also includes the social networking-friendly Motoblur interface. The Devour may lack multitouch support and have a smaller screen than the Droid, but overall it’s a very good value. (more…)

LG Neon GT365 : Low Cost Touch Screen Device

Monday, April 5th, 2010

The LG Xenon was LG’s first messaging phone for AT&T, and not only does it have a full QWERTY keyboard, it has a 2.8-inch touch screen and 3G support. If you want something smaller and simpler, LG has another messaging phone for AT&T, dubbed the LG Neon. It has a full QWERTY keyboard like the Xenon, but it’s more compact, is only a tri-band phone, and doesn’t have 3G. Unusually, the Neon does have a touch screen, but only for the phone dialer, which we found weird. Its quirks aside, the Neon is just fine for those looking for a simple messaging phone. We weren’t thrilled with the latter, but for a simple messaging phone, the Neon works just fine. The LG Neon is available for $29.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Budget Touch Screen Cellphone : LG Cookie Fresh GS290

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

Introduction:

Today LG announced the GS290 Cookie Fresh, the latest feature phone to join LG’s Cookie portfolio of devices. As the original LG Cookie, the cellphone that foreshadowed the era of the budget touchscreen, proved to be quite a success, the manufacturer naturally seeks to keep this trend alive. The appearance of the LG Cookie Fresh GS290 is a proof of this. It is part of the newly-formed Cookie family. However, what place does it take among the rest of the family members is a tough question, as the Cookie Fresh takes some of the newer features found on the Cookie Plus, but sacrifices others that were initially found on the original. In short, it replaces the 3MP camera found on the first Cookie with a weaker 2MP one, and it lacks 3G, but sports a 3.5mm jack. So, in the final analysis, we can say the LG Cookie Fresh GS290 will be the handset of choice for those who enjoy listening to music while on the move, but would pay as little as possible. (more…)

Nokia X6 Music magic

Friday, March 19th, 2010

Nokia has finally made a touchscreen music phone worth craving with the X6, which is everything the 5800 XpressMusic should have been. Plenty of water has flowed under the bridge since the 5800 was released, and the X6 doesn’t break any new ground, but there’s still much to like about this music maestro. The X6 feels like the 5800 reborn, with a capacitive touchscreen and sleek, angular body. (more…)
